According to my LJ account, I have not posted in 22 weeks and counting. Since I started this blog, I've been thinking about what I want it to be about. I've decided that first and foremost, I want it to be an outlet for my ideas, not just a retelling of my life. Let's face it, my life expresses itself all day; but my ideas - they're a little more precious.

But, just this once: life. I'm taking my 9 hour long Step 2 Medical exam tomorrow. It's one of those "I decide your future" things. Keep me in mind please. Thanks.

I know I have spoken recently on my love of the view from my window. I have been sitting at the kitchen table for countless hours this week, feverishly doing questions to prepare for a my huge medical school exam for the year. And my blood sugar has been steadily high from inactivity. But starting yesterday, a little birdie has been stopping by to say hello. He lands on the ledge of the window and hops about. I think he is saying, "You can do it. Don't lose hope."

I like the view from my window. I can see trees that look as though they have been enduring for decades. I like to think that if they had thought, it would take them months to complete one. Not an original idea, it probably came from Lord of the Rings. I can see the street. Sometimes these "hooligans" skateboard up and down them. I am told they are really nice boys. And I can barely see a house. But my favorite part is that the sun shines in most brightly from about 3pm to sundown, when I am most awake, when I need it.
